Point Reyes and Miur Beach

The wind was very strong when we were there so the path down to the lighthouse was closed. I took a few zoom in picture of the light house but I like this the most. You can read more about the history of this lighthouse here:
http://www.nps.gov/pore/historyculture/people_maritime_lighthouse.htm

I love the patterns on the earth and rocks. You can see a lot more of them in my facebook photo album.

Our friend Victoria works on conservation project at Miur Beach. This is the cabin left behind by a writer whom she is researching about.

Around the Bay Area - Fried Chicken Waffle

Our friend Peter took us to Brown Sugar Kitchen in West Oakland for this yummy fried chicken waffle brunch. Waffle is so light and crisp, young and hip atmosphere with local art on the walls. Peter is quite a foodie and his friend who loves fried chicken recommended this place. I later visited Farmer's Brown in SF. I can't tell which is better but nothing rivals the fried chicken waffle I had in Harlem a few years back when we were still in NY.

What a beautiful day for my good friend to be married. I took this picture on my way to the city hall for Hana and John's wedding.

First harvest of our fava beans!
We had about 20 seedlings the following year (2011) from the left behinds!

Sep 2009: Our first month in the Bay Area

Fresh Durian!

We never see fresh durian in the store in New York before, not those frozen ones, so we bought one although the price is multiple times the regular frozen ones.

Hmmm...
